Twin Sisters Marry Twin Brothers Give Birth To Genetic Siblings

Brittany and Briana are identical twin sisters from Virginia who are not only wed to twin brothers Josh and Jeremy Salyers but also had their children within a few months of one another. And on social media, followers are perplexed by how this is possible. Josh announced the birth of his boy, Jett Salyers, in January 2021 with his wife, Brittany. On their joint Instagram account, Josh, Jeremy, Brittany, and Briana announced the news.
“One thing is for sure: Our babies will be surrounded by the love of *four* parents!” he wrote in the caption. In April 2021, Josh’s identical twin brother, Jeremy, announced that his wife, Briana, had given birth to their first kid. Jax Salyers was born on April 24th.
“I am so proud of my beautiful wife, Briana, and how well she did,” Jeremy wrote. “She was so strong and brave and did an amazing job.” Jax and Jett are first cousins. However, as shown in a Facebook post last October, their DNA might extend much further than that. “Cousins, Genetic Brothers, and Quaternary Twins!” the Salyers stated in the caption, along with a photo of Jax and Jett next to one another. Because Jax and Jett’s parents are full identical twin siblings, they might be referred to as “quaternary” since their DNA is linked to Brittany, Briana, Josh, and Jeremy. People on social media are also perplexed, attempting to connect the dots between these two infants, as well as their parents.
“Does that mean the cousins are genetically the same as well?” one Instagram user asked. Another person chimed in, “If this family took an ancestry DNA test, it would identify these children as siblings rather than cousins!” Others remarked that the relationship between Jett and Jax was strange. “The kid in 2032: hi, that is my cousin. Person: Really? By the father’s side of the family or the mother? Kid: both. Person: come again?” one user joked, while another commented: “That’s actually quite creepy, lol.” Many people, on the other hand, liked this family photo. “Beautiful family!” one wrote. The two babies were praised for being “adorable.” “Cute,” one person wrote. “They are similar yet do not appear to be twins just yet; I’m sure they will when they get older, and the age difference isn’t so big.” Brittany and Briana have previously spoken about their relationships and home lives. The former Extreme Sisters’ stars told Entertainment Tonight in April 2021 that they not only had a joint wedding but also got pregnant at the same time.
“We had no idea that, just a few weeks after our double wedding, we would become pregnant at the same time,” Briana said. “Both couples were expecting a kid, so this show allows us to tell our story with the rest of the world.” Aside from being parents, Brittany, Briana, Josh, and Jeremy reside together under the same roof, fostering a strong connection among them. “I feel like I’m Jett’s parent, and he feels the same way about Jax. We all live together and are raising the kids together. It appears to be one big family rather than two separate couples with their own children. It’s the four of us with our two infants in tow.”
